Odin Mission Summary

Odin was our first real shot at deep space. Built in under 10 months for just $3.5 million, this mission was about more than reaching a metallic asteroid — it was about proving we could move fast, take calculated risks, and actually pull off a complex spacecraft build without the billion-dollar price tag. We made it past the Moon, got a few signals back, and proved that we could build and launch something that would reach deep space.

We didn’t get everything right, and we knew going in that we probably wouldn’t. But Odin did exactly what we needed: it taught us a ton. From comms issues and ground station chaos to solar panel quirks and deployment risk, every challenge became a lesson. We’re already folding those learnings into our next mission, Vestri — which will go even further. Odin was never about perfection. It was about progress.
